First Wesleyan Church

Outreach

Food Pantry
First Wesleyan Church provides the community with an Emergency Food Pantry designed to serve those who need a helping hand during economically hard times. The pantry is stocked by generous donations from First Wesleyan Church members and several businesses and clubs from the local community.

The pantry is open on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Recipients are asked to visit the pantry only twice in a month, in order to allow all those in need to benefit from it. The food pantry is intended for emergency use only.

Thanksgiving for Thousands
Annually First Wesleyan Church has the privilege of partnering with the Dagsboro Church of God and Mountaire Farms to provide needy families in our community with a Thanksgiving Box filled with all the fixings for a home cooked Thanksgiving dinner.

This year on the morning of Monday 11/24/2008 a group of volunteers will leave the church and join the crew at Dagsboro Church of God in packing the Thanksgiving boxes with the donated chickens, stuffing, cranberries, etc. One thousand of those boxes will then be brought back to First Wesleyan Church for distribution on Tuesday 11/25/2008.

If you are interested in volunteering for either Monday morning’s trek to Dagsboro or if you would like to help distribute dinner boxes on Tuesday afternoon, please contact the church office at 410-822-3038. If you know someone who could use a blessing of this type, please have them contact the church office as well.
